We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, personable Ward Clerk to support our Nursing Care Unit. About the RoleAs a Ward Clerk, you are the central communication hub of the unit, providing clerical and reception support that helps ensure patient comfort, safety, and smooth daily operations. You work closely with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

What You’ll Be Responsible For- Acting as the primary clerical and reception support for the Nursing Care Unit
- Supporting effective communication between nursing staff, departments, and hospital services
- Accurately managing patient information, documentation, and unit records
- Using hospital and office software to support day-to-day unit operations
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies and procedures
- Contributing to a safe, respectful, and collaborative care environment
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course
- Previous related experience is considered an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to learn and operate hospital information systems (e.g., Meditech)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information
