Responsibilities
Assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for LLRIB community members in clients’ homes, providing home management, personal care & respite assistance.
Apply knowledge-based Home Health Aide practice independently & in collaboration with the client & other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients.
Provide home management, personal care & respite assistance to clients.
Use skills & interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional & spiritual needs of clients.
Work 5 days per week / 7.5 hours per day.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide Certificate preferred, or combination of education & experience may be considered.
Previous Home Care or Acute Care experience is an asset.
Must be able to work independently & collaboratively with the Home Care Team.
Must be self-directed & demonstrate organizational skills.
Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset.
First Aid/CPR Training Certifications is an asset &/or willing to learn.
Must possess a Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
