Healthcare Environmental Services Specialist

Location: North Central Alberta (Slave Lake)

Become a pivotal part of AHS as a Healthcare Environmental Services Specialist, conducting essential cleaning tasks in clinical environments. Ensure hygiene and safety while supporting patient care.

AHS is looking for individuals for the Environmental Services role at the High Prairie Health Complex.

Your role as a casual/relief staff member involves a variety of cleaning responsibilities, including operating industrial equipment and reporting hazards. You will also take part in supply management and might provide orientation to new staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disinfect clinical and non-clinical areas effectively

• Manage floor maintenance and cleaning tasks

• Empty hazardous waste and replace supplies

• Identify hazards and report to your supervisor

• Train Environmental or Laundry staff when needed

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent degree

• Familiarity with computer and smartphone usage

• Capability to stand and walk extensively

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs

• Satisfactory criminal record check required prior to work
