Restorative Care Aide at Hallowell House

Location: Quinte Shores, East Northumberland County & Prince Edward County (Picton)

Enhance quality of life for residents at Hallowell House Long-Term Care as a Restorative Aide. This part-time role focuses on promoting independence through functional restoration programs and group activities.

You will report to the Programs Manager and work collaboratively with the care team under a Physiotherapist's guidance. Your responsibilities include assisting with exercise programs and supporting residents in daily activities like grooming and mobility. The role demands strong attention to detail and effective time management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with group exercise programs and guided movements

• Provide one-on-one restorative activities based on care plans

• Conduct restorative assessments to track resident progress

• Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

• Maintain accurate documentation and attend care conferences

Requirements:

• OTA or PTA certificate/diploma required

• Physically fit for mobility and exercise support

• Good collaboration within care teams

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer skills for documentation
