Position: Healthcare Unit Clerk Role
Location: Harrison Lake Region (Agassiz)

Support critical healthcare functions at Fraser Health as a Unit Clerk. This role requires strong clerical abilities and effective communication to enhance patient care and administrative processes.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for various tasks, including managing physician orders and patient documentation. You will serve as the initial point of contact for patients and staff, ensuring that communication flows smoothly and efficiently. Your organized approach will contribute to maintaining vital patient records and coordinating necessary supplies for the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and transcribe physicians' orders accurately

• Manage patient scheduling and assist visitors

• Compile necessary charts for new admissions

• Document laboratory reports on patient files

• Maintain daily statistics and ward census records

Requirements:

• Must have completed Grade 12 and medical terminology

• Graduate from a Nursing Unit Clerk Program required

• One year of related experience is an asset

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle physical demands of the role
