Hours of Work: Rotating days and nights, weekends, statutory holidays. Subject to change due to operational requirements.
Salary Range: As per collective agreement
Language Requirement: Written and spoken competency in one of the two official languages (English or French) is required and spoken competency in the other official language is required.

Duties of PositionClinical expectations and responsibilities for Primary Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) for Primary Care Paramedics, Paramedic Association of New Brunswick registration requirements as well as Ambulance NB policies, procedures and protocols.
Our paramedics provide medical support to patients on scene and en route to hospitals. Given the unpredictability of clinical presentations in the field, they are skilled in emergency techniques and well-versed in various medical treatments. “First on scene” in times of crisis, they don’t leave until the job’s done.
If you’re a new graduate from a post-secondary program in paramedicine or have working experience outside the province of New Brunswick, ANB has a standardized process for selecting top candidates to fill Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) positions. Conducted several times a year, the Selection Process consists of a comprehensive assessment to determine your level of qualification to work for our organization.
Required Qualifications- You are entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit)
- Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record
- Must have a high regard for confidentiality and patient safety
- Primary Care Paramedic program/course of over six months; if you do not have one and are interested in this career, here is a list of paramedic programs in Atlantic Canada,
- Must be registered, active Paramedic with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick; if you are not currently registered in New Brunswick, please visit PANB at
- Must have a valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent)
- Current Resume and Cover Letter
- A copy of your PCP diploma from an accredited institution
- Proof of current registration with Paramedic Association of New Brunswick
- Proof of completion of a Physical Abilities Test (PAT) specific to working as a paramedic within the last 12 months
- Proof of valid CPR level C certification issued in the last 12 months
- Photocopy of front and back of valid Class 4 driver’s license (or equivalent) with minimum one year driving experience
- Driver's abstract; issued within the last 30 days
- Copy of any valid Driver’s course certificate i.e. CEVO, VFIS or NS VSP or equivalent issued within the last three years
- Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check; issued within the last 30 days
- Immunization Record (Tetanus Tdap) within the last 10 years, 2 MMR vaccines (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) or lab evidenced immunity, 2 Varicella vaccines (Chicken Pox) or lab evidenced immunity, 3 Hepatitis B doses and Lab evidenced immunity, TB Skin Test (2 step) and a 1-step in the last 12 months; if reactive a follow up chest x-ray).
