Be a supportive presence as a Recreation Aide. Facilitate engaging activities and assist residents’ physical and emotional needs while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
In this role, you'll significantly contribute to the well-being of residents, focusing on their social, emotional, and cultural needs in a collaborative environment. You will implement recreation programs and provide individual support while managing equipment and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Engaging with community resources will help enhance resident experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage residents through regular conversation and activities
• Coordinate and assist in recreation program execution
• Provide individual support tailored to specific needs
• Observe and report on resident interactions and care
• Manage and maintain recreation activity equipment
Requirements:
• Preferable experience in a residential care setting
• Completion of high school diploma necessary
• Valid class 4 driver’s licence is a bonus
• CPR and First Aid trained is desirable
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
