Certified Health Information Manager

Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Become a Certified Health Information Manager focused on optimizing data management in the health records landscape. Work collaboratively with a dynamic healthcare team, ensuring adherence to coding protocols and confidentiality principles.

Responsibilities include managing electronic abstracting systems while utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills. A successful candidate will be familiar with ICD-10 coding and have a solid foundation in medical terminology. Previous health records department experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee National Ambulatory Reporting for Emergency Rooms

• Manage diagnosis coding and electronic abstracting processes

• Ensure accurate chart assembly and quality control

• Conduct data collection and statistical reporting

• Handle CIHI and MOH documentation tasks

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Health Information Management Program

• Active certification by C.H.I.M.A.

• At least one year of relevant experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of medical coding and terminology

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
