Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator

Location:

Whitehorse, YT Y1A 2Z7. Work must be completed at the physical location. No option to work remotely.

Salary: $31.00 to $33.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 40 hours per week. Terms of employment:
Permanent, Full time.

Responsibilities

Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public.

Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Establish and implement policies and procedures.

Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards.

Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses.

Manage training and development strategies.

Develop and implement health and safety plans.

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
