Position: Chaplain for Secure Treatment Unit
Location: South Leeds and Grenville United Counties (Prescott)

Provide spiritual and cultural health services as a Chaplain at the Brockville Mental Health Centre. This part-time role involves advocacy, education, and support for clients and staff.

The position in the Secure Treatment Unit includes recruiting and training peer volunteers while facilitating recovery-oriented spirituality groups. Ideal candidates should possess a Master’s degree along with relevant training to support individuals with severe mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate spiritual health services and advocate for diversity

• Support educational initiatives regarding cultural care

• Lead crisis intervention and bereavement support sessions

• Engage in ongoing staff training about spiritual health

• Conduct data measurement and program evaluation

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in divinity or theology

• Training in principles of community development

• Proven effective communication skills

• Strong advocacy for client needs and diverse backgrounds

• English fluency required;
French is an asset
