Emergency Paramedic

Position: Emergency Paramedic at Alberta Health Services
Location: International Border Region (Cardston)

As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) at Alberta Health Services, take on the urgent responsibility of assessing emergencies and stabilizing patients. Equip ambulances, administer life-saving treatments, and lead clinical care effectively.

In this pivotal role, you will evaluate emergency scenes and transport patients while providing necessary advanced life support care. You'll also need to ensure that Emergency Medical Services vehicles are well-prepared for operations. Prepare for the challenges of managing demanding physical duties while enduring various environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients and transport during emergencies

• Provide ALS treatments and administer medications

• Lead the ALS team through critical scenarios

• Maintain stocked and equipped EMS vehicles

• Handle gripping physical demands and hazardous conditions

Requirements:

• Good standing registration as ACP with Alberta College

• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR

• Valid class 4 Alberta Operator Licence required

• Complete the F.A.R.E. test prior to application

• Preference for candidates with EMS experience
