Trainee Patient Transport Officer Position

Become an essential support in patient transport with Murrumbidgee Local Health District. This role is vital for ensuring safe and comfortable patient services in Griffith and Narrandera.

We are looking for dedicated Trainee Patient Transport Officers for full-time positions in Griffith and part-time opportunities in Narrandera. Responsibilities include facilitating patient movement to healthcare facilities and assisting NSW Ambulance in crucial transfers. You'll receive training in advanced life support and patient handling, making this role integral to our community's health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safe patient transfers to and from facilities

• Support bed flow by assisting NSW Ambulance as needed

• Follow the Patient Transport Coordinator's direction for patient transit

• Provide comfort and care to patients during transportation

• Maintain equipment for safe patient transport

Requirements:

• Current Class C driver’s license required

• Must have a safe driving history documented

• Open to training in advanced first aid and CPR

• Willing and able to work rotating shifts

• Commitment to patient care and service excellence
