Location: Isthmus of Chignecto (River Hébert)

Support patient care at Nova Scotia Health as a Care Team Assistant in the Medical/Surgical Unit. Provide direct, hands-on care to enhance patient activities of daily living.

This part-time, long-assignment role covers 45 hours bi-weekly with an all night-shift rotation. As a Care Team Assistant, you will work under regulated health professionals, collaborating within a care team. Your main focus will be on patient care and reinforcing family teaching according to healthcare guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities

• Support patient and family education as directed

• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals

• Maintain effective communication with patients

• Participate in ongoing training and education

Requirements:

• Completion of the Continuing Care Assistant Program

• Current Basic Life Support Certification

• Registration with the CCA Registry

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Competency in additional languages is an asset
