Position: IPAC Regional Specialist Role in Simcoe Region
Location: Quinte Shores, East Northumberland County & Prince Edward County (Picton)

Become an IPAC Regional Specialist with Southbridge Care Homes, championing infection prevention in Ontario’s long-term care communities. Focus on enhancing safety and compliance across various homes.

As a full-time specialist, you will coordinate IPAC initiatives in the Simcoe, York, and Eastern Ontario regions, managing complex epidemiologic activities and developing comprehensive infection surveillance programs. By working closely with IPAC Leads, you will promote best practices and ensure adherence to health standards across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the IPAC program across multiple facilities

• Design infection surveillance systems and manage outbreaks

• Educate staff and provide best-practice recommendations

• Conduct safety inspections and monitor compliance

• Support occupational health initiatives and redevelopment projects

Requirements:

• RN/RPN qualification or related healthcare degree

• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or LTC-CIP is essential

• Background in epidemiology and public health

• Strong communication and database management skills

• Ability to travel to care homes regularly
