Part-Time Patient Technician - LifeLabs

Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Join Life Labs as a part-time Lab Patient Technician focused on patient interaction and specimen processing. This role is essential to supporting the health of Canadians through precise diagnostic services.

Working primarily Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, this role includes potential mobile service weekly to a Vermilion Bay clinic. Responsibilities include performing phlebotomies, conducting ECGs, and cultivating client relationships. Be part of a trusted team that values innovation and care in health diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and clarify testing protocols

• Conduct phlebotomies and monitor ECGs efficiently

• Take special collections for drug screens and trials

• Manage data entry for patient records and requisitions

• Ensure specimen preparation for proper transport

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved Laboratory Assistant program

• Phlebotomy skills preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Good computer skills with 40 wpm typing speed

• Capable of upholding strict patient confidentiality
