Position: Therapy Assistant Role with AHS
Location: High Level

Take on the role of Therapy Assistant at AHS, based in High Level Health Complex, and contribute to client well-being through therapeutic recreation. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and support.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Recreation Therapist and participate in developing evidence-based interventions for clients, addressing their needs throughout the healthcare continuum. Engage with internal and external partners and potentially support the neighboring Fort Vermillion community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in planning and delivering recreation services

• Assist with client care across the health continuum

• Uphold professionalism in all interactions and care teams

• Demonstrate continuous improvement in practice

• Contribute to program planning and student supervision

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program

• Current certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant preferred

• Valid BCLS-HCP required

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Experience working with seniors preferred
