Clinical Laboratory Assistant at Shared Health

Location: Southeastern Manitoba (Lorette)

Join the Bethesda Laboratory in Steinbach as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, focusing on critical laboratory tasks including sample processing and phlebotomy in person. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.

As part of Shared Health, this position involves assisting in specimen triaging and maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience or training in laboratory environments and must be willing to travel to service nearby locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in specimen accessioning and processing

• Perform routine phlebotomies under supervision

• Maintain a safe lab environment consistent with standards

• Follow all quality assurance protocols established

• Travel to Ste. Anne, St. Pierre, Vita, and Niverville when required

Requirements:

• Minimum education of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Previous laboratory experience preferred

• Medical Laboratory Assistant certification is desirable

• Strong computer proficiency required

• Good communication in English, French helpful
