Position: Health Promoter Focused on Population Health
Location: Canso region (Havre Boucher)

Advance public health as a Health Promoter with Nova Scotia Health's Early Years team. Drive initiatives that support infant and maternal health while advocating for community engagement.

This role entails collaboration with various health teams and community partners in the Eastern Zone. You will employ evidence-based strategies to assess community needs and develop programs that address health inequities. Your skills in facilitation and engagement are essential to inspire action among stakeholders and citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with community for participatory health assessments

• Develop and implement health promotion programs

• Build networks and coalitions to support public health goals

• Advocate for policy reform and system changes

• Maintain ongoing community health intelligence gathering

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion or equivalent

• 3+ years of relevant experience in health promotion

• Proven experience in developing community partnerships

• Strong understanding of public health competencies

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Contribute to improving health outcomes in communities through strategic partnerships and health promotion initiatives.
