Position: Health Promoter for Maternal Health
Location: Canso region (Havre Boucher)

Become a Health Promoter at Nova Scotia Health focusing on the Baby Friendly Initiative. Collaborate with community partners to enhance infant and maternal health through strategic advocacy and program development.

In this full-time role reporting to the Early Years Zone Manager, you will play a critical part in assessing health needs and creating supportive environments for families. Your expertise in health promotion, community engagement, and partnership development will drive efforts to reduce health inequities.

Your role will require ongoing assessment and strategic communication to inspire action and systemic change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health promotion programs and policies

• Facilitate partnerships and community engagement initiatives

• Conduct health assessments to inform programs

• Advocate for policies promoting health equity

• Utilize compelling communication and facilitation skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Health Promotion or equivalent

• 3+ years relevant experience

• Proficiency in public health competencies

• Knowledge of health impact assessments

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access

Lead impactful health initiatives that transform community health outcomes through collaboration and informed strategies.
