Position: Cultural Leadership Advisor at Fraser Health
Location: Kamloops North

Embrace your cultural wisdom with Fraser Health as a Senior Indigenous Cultural Advisor. You will lead initiatives that honor Indigenous wellness through community and ceremonial practices.

This role seeks a passionate leader dedicated to enhancing mental, emotional, and spiritual health within Indigenous populations. You will collaborate with the Indigenous Cultural Advisor team and provide guidance across acute and community settings. A focus on trauma-informed and culturally safe care will find fulfillment as you support program development and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Indigenous leaders to define care approaches

• Mentor healthcare team members for cultural awareness

• Provide training to Indigenous Cultural Advisors

• Lead traditional wellness ceremonies and practices

• Share cultural wisdom in various meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Three years in Indigenous organizations/programs

• Valid BC Driver's licence and personal vehicle

• In-depth knowledge of Indigenous health and culture

• Ability to communicate effectively and support clients
