Lead Indigenous Wellness Integration Specialist

Location: Cariboo and West Okanagan (100 Mile House)

Lead the charge in Indigenous mental health with Interior Health as the Lead, Indigenous Cultural Resource Integration. This role focuses on integrating cultural practices into wellness programs and community support.

Ideal candidates are those with personal ties to First Nations, Métis, or Inuit communities. Your lived experience, coupled with your clinical background, will help bridge traditional practices with modern healthcare. This role fosters community engagement and improves care by embedding Indigenous values into program frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop inclusive strategies for Indigenous wellness integration

• Guide the implementation of culturally specific programs

• Support the formation of partnerships with Indigenous communities

• Provide leadership for program quality improvements

• Maintain a network of traditional health providers

Requirements:

• Direct experience as an Indigenous individual

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical area

• Minimum five years in related mental health roles

• Knowledge of Indigenous health and wellness frameworks

• Valid BC driver’s license
