General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist, Temporary full‑time role covering maternity leave from 05/11/2026 to 09/10/2027. The incumbent will be responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols, assist in laboratory projects such as SOPs, maintain a safe environment, and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, accreditation standards, and applicable legislation.

- Education:
Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program; successful completion of the CMLTM Prior Learning Assessment may also be considered. - Certification:
Current registration or eligibility with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM) required; current membership with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) considered an asset. - Experience:
Previous related experience preferred. - Qualifications and Skills:
Must communicate effectively in English, both written and oral;
Microsoft Office programs preferred; follow oral and written instructions precisely with attention to detail; work independently and as part of a team; possess proficient analytical skills; work under pressure; maintain confidentiality; may need fluency in French; ability to perform duties as described. - Physical Requirements:
Working shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required; standby and callback duties; rotate through various workstations; exposure to laboratory hazards; refer to Job Hazard Analysis Assessment for definitive details. - Prerequisites:
Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check required. Security check must be no more than six months prior to employment start. - Employment
