Elevate infection control standards at Warkworth Place Long Term Care as the Lead Infection Control Practitioner with Southbridge. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring resident safety and compliance.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Regional IPAC Specialist to implement and evaluate the infection prevention framework across the facility. Your contributions will include educating staff on best practices, monitoring compliance, and analyzing infection data to drive improvements. Critical responsibilities also involve leading vaccination initiatives and outbreak management efforts, ensuring the home remains a safe environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices
• Develop and execute infection surveillance reports
• Lead vaccination campaigns for influenza
• Analyze and report on infection trends
• Coordinate outbreak management with health authorities
Requirements:
• RN/RPN degree or diploma preferred
• CIC‑LTC certification necessary
• 3 to 5 years of infection control experience
• Familiarity with microbiology and epidemiology
• Bilingual English/French preferred
