Join the team at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. This part-time, temporary role involves vital pre- and post-analytical laboratory tasks to ensure patient care.

The position requires completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant Program and CSMLS registration. Responsibilities include specimen processing, clerical duties, and contributing to quality customer service efforts. You will need to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, while following safety and infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage laboratory specimens

• Assist in data entry and record keeping

• Prepare laboratory media and reagents

• Provide customer service efficiently

• Troubleshoot and manage supply needs

Requirements:

• Registered with CSMLS and NSRMLS

• Proficient in medical terminology

• Excellent detail-oriented skills

• Ability to adapt to procedural changes

• Competence in French is a plus
