Position: MHC Health Records Administrator Job
Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Take on a pivotal role as a Health Records Administrator with MHC, ensuring accurate record coding and abstraction in a busy healthcare environment. Your work will support essential patient care processes.

As a part of this position, you will perform DAD and NACRS coding for inpatient and specialty medical records while contributing to health reporting submissions. Meet diverse challenges in managing patient data while ensuring compliance with health regulations. Additionally, you will assist with record scanning and serving clinician requests within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform coding and abstracting for inpatient records

• Process corrections and review error reports

• Assist with mandatory CIHI health submissions

• Manage Release of Information requests thoroughly

• Scan and audit records for patient discharges

Requirements:

• CHIM certification from Canadian Health Information Management Association

• Proficiency in Meditech and relevant software

• Two years of relevant experience preferred

• Knowledge of PHIPA and coding standards

• Full COVID-19 vaccination proof required
