Assume a leadership role as Commander of Paramedic Services in Perth County, focusing on operational efficiency, paramedic training, and emergency response. This position ensures high-quality service delivery.
In this role, reporting to the Deputy Chief of Operations, you'll supervise paramedic staff and coordinate resources for daily operations. Critical functions include staff training, managing equipment deployment, and participating in service improvement initiatives. You will also act as a liaison with other emergency services and regulatory entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor Paramedics and trainees
• Execute daily operations and manage resources effectively
• Review patient care data for service enhancement
• Provide guidance during emergency medical responses
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
• AEMCA certification with paramedic qualifications
• Knowledge of operational procedures and equipment
• Strong communication skills for both staff and public interaction
• Past experience as a Commander or Superintendent
• Flexibility to work various shifts in the county
