Compassionate Health Care Aide

Position: Compassionate Health Care Aide Role
Location: Southeastern Alberta (Drumheller)

Provide compassionate care as a Health Care Aide at the Drumheller Health Center. Support elderly clients, including those diagnosed with dementia, in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

In this vital role, you will assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living tailored to individual care plans. As a Health Care Aide, you will ensure emotional support through active listening and positive interactions with clients and their families. Your work will enhance patient independence and contribute to their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care as per clients’ care plans

• Support daily living activities for elderly clients

• Interact positively to provide emotional support

• Observe and document changes in health and mood

• Collaborate effectively with health professionals

Requirements:

• Health Care Aide Certificate needed within 18 months

• Active registration on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory

• Nursing students with practicum experience accepted

• Proof of compliance with educational requirements

• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
