Extendicare is seeking a dedicated recreation aide for full-time evening shifts. You will plan and assess individual and group programs, ensuring a high standard of care for residents. Key responsibilities include monitoring resident behavior and maintaining accurate records, contributing to a supportive atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement group and individual activation programs

• Set up and clean the activity area as required

• Monitor residents' behavior and report changes to supervisors

• Maintain thorough records of programs and resident participation

• Communicate activities effectively with registered staff

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Services / Gerontology

• Experience in program planning for older adults preferred

• Strong customer service skills with high-paced experience

• Excellent communication abilities, verbal and written

• Flexibility to learn new tasks and adapt quickly
