Position: Recreation Worker for Lions Prairie Manor
Location: South Interlake (MacGregor)

Join Southern Health-Santé Sud as a Recreation Worker at Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie. Engage older adults in enriching activities that promote recreational therapy and personal well-being.

In this part-time, permanent role, you will support residents in long-term care by implementing engaging and therapeutic activities. A minimum of two years’ experience working with older adults and a Grade 12 education are required. You will also need a recognized therapeutic recreation or activity programming certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead recreational activities for residents

• Collaborate with team members to deliver effective programs

• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies

• Maintain participant confidentiality and dignity

• Promote cultural diversity through activity adaptability

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience preferred

• Grade 12 education and recognized recreation certificate

• Class 5 driver's license and insured vehicle required

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

• Excellent attendance and performance record
