Join Age Care as a Recreation Worker, fostering well-being and creativity through engaging activities for seniors. This role is centered on planning and facilitating meaningful recreation experiences in both home and community settings.

As a Recreation Worker at Age Care, you will design and implement daily leisure activities based on holistic resident information.

Your role involves creating vibrant spaces that promote participation and joy while effectively communicating with residents, families, and community partners. You will also monitor and document changes in residents’ engagement and contribute to ongoing program evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute daily recreation and leisure activities

• Create engaging environments for resident participation

• Communicate effectively with residents and families

• Document changes in residents’ abilities for care plans

• Support engagement across all departments

Requirements:

• Experience with seniors, preferably in long-term care

• Diploma or degree in recreation, leisure studies, or related fields

• Related health-care qualifications with recreation service skills

• Ability to foster a culture of resident engagement
