Position: Geriatric Clinician for Mental Health

Engage with elderly clients as a Geriatric Clinician at Fraser Health in beautiful British Columbia. Support assessment, treatment, and education for seniors facing mental health challenges.

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Clinician to join a multidisciplinary team focused on elderly mental health. You'll assess and provide treatment plans, offer consultation to families, and liaise with community agencies. This role involves home visits and crisis intervention, leveraging your experience in geriatric psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments for elderly clients

• Develop treatment interventions and plans using various modalities

• Conduct ongoing monitoring and referrals for complex cases

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during meetings

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation as per policies

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counselling

• Minimum 1 year experience with Geriatric clients

• Registration with a relevant professional body

• Class V BC Driver’s Licence and personal vehicle

• Effective communication skills with clients and caregivers
