Position: Occupational/Physiotherapy Assistant Opportunity
Location: Whitby Region (Gormley)

Become an integral part of resident care at Lakeridge Health as an OT/PT Assistant. Collaborate with therapists to deliver individualized therapy programs in our new long-term care home.

Reporting to the Program Supports Manager, the OT/PT Assistant role supports the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist in planning and executing therapy programs. You will assist clients with daily living activities while participating in care documentation and evaluation. This position requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement client-activation programmes

• Execute therapeutic programmes as directed by therapists

• Participate in care planning and client evaluations

• Assist clients with their daily living activities

Requirements:

• Completion of relevant diploma/certificate mandatory

• Preferred experience in long-term care settings

• Knowledge of safe-work practices

• Excellent communication skills required

• Commitment to values of inclusion and teamwork
