Position: Full-Time Physician Assistant at PRHC

Join Southern Health-Santé Sud as a full-time Physician Assistant at Portage Regional Health Centre. This role focuses on high-quality inpatient care for adult patients while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

As a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant, you'll support hospital operations during the week and on scheduled weekends. Working under the supervision of experienced physicians, you'll conduct patient assessments, manage care plans, and participate in case discussions. This role is perfect for those passionate about providing patient-centered medical care in an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings

• Collaborate with medical staff for treatment plan implementation

• Participate in daily patient rounds and communicate changes

• Monitor patient progress and coordinate discharge planning

• Educate patients and families on care and treatment

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program

• Registration with CPSM in the relevant practice category

• Previous clinical experience in acute care preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

• Fluent in English and French for designated roles
