Speech-Language Pathologist

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist at HPEDSB
Location: Quinte Shores, East Northumberland County & Prince Edward County (Picton)

Join Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This temporary role involves assessing and supporting students with communication difficulties in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Board Lead Psychologist, you'll be pivotal in addressing various communication disorders, such as those related to Autism and Developmental Delays. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, you will consult with school staff and parents, providing recommendations to enhance student outcomes. Your expertise will inform programming decisions across the district to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programming for communication delays

• Assess and summarize communication difficulties for reports

• Advise principals on school-level language needs

• Attend case conferences to present assessment results

• Monitor and support student progress in interventions

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Six years of professional experience

• Strong client service and interpersonal skills

• Experience with diverse communicative disorders

• Registration with CASLPO in good standing
