Lab Patient Technician at LifeLabs

Location: Sarnia Southwest

Make a real impact at Life Labs as a Lab Patient Technician, supporting patients through specimen collection and preparation. This role requires excellent communication skills and adaptability in a part-time float capacity.

As a Lab Patient Technician, you will play a vital role in patient care r responsibilities include greeting patients, performing phlebotomies, and maintaining client relationships. You’ll also manage the documentation and preparation of specimens for testing, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and explain specimen collection procedures

• Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings

• Complete special test collections and related documentation

• Maintain client relationships, responding to inquiries

• Execute data entry for patient demographics and requisitions

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience is an asset

• ECG training or experience is beneficial

• Excellent communication and computer skills required

• Ability to uphold strict patient privacy standards
