Embrace a critical role at the Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre as a Public Health Inspector. This position entails field hours dedicated to monitoring and ensuring compliance in health facilities across the region.
In this full-time role, you will assist the Manager of Environmental Protection Services in planning and executing public health inspections. This includes evaluating various facilities such as food establishments and public accommodations, as well as conducting important compliance checks regarding environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute inspections in public eating and accommodation facilities
• Conduct compliance checks as per Tobacco Control Act
• Investigate environmental tobacco smoke grievances
• Assess safety in public water and sewage systems
• Support public health initiatives in the Health Authority
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)
• CPHS Certification (Canada)
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Membership in Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI)
