Join Life Labs as a Part Time Lab Patient Technician in Orillia, ON. Your key role involves specimen collection, patient interaction, and preparation for testing in a supportive environment.
As a Lab Patient Technician, you will perform vital tasks such as greeting patients, overseeing the specimen collection process, and ensuring compliance with test preparations. This temporary part-time role is essential to maintaining the integrity of Life Labs’ diagnostic services and positively impacts patient care. Flexibility in working hours is crucial to meet operational needs from Monday to Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and explain specimen collection procedures
• Conduct phlebotomies and ECG tracings accurately
• Handle specialized test collections and documentation
• Maintain client relationships and follow up on inquiries
• Enter patient data diligently for processing
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus
• Good computer skills; 40 wpm typing required
• Strong empathy and adaptability skills
• Commitment to patient privacy standards
