Rehabilitation Assistant - PT and OT Support Role

Location: Surrey East

Join the Fraser Health community as a full-time Rehabilitation Assistant at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. This relief position focuses on providing therapeutic support under the guidance of nursing and therapy teams, enhancing rehabilitative care.

Available until May 2027, this rewarding role requires implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and monitoring their progress through effective communication with team members. Engage with patients in daily living and mobility training while fostering a compassionate healing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing rehabilitative plans from PT or OT

• Report changes in patient status to nursing and therapy teams

• Provide training in daily living activities and assistive devices

• Maintain and manage therapy supplies and equipment

• Conduct patient mobility tests as per assigned directives

Requirements:

• Rehabilitation Assistant Program completion or equivalent experience

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written

• Physical fitness to perform ergonomic tasks

• Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks

• Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment operations
