Community Health Worker in Hopedale

Location: Central Labrador (Happy Valley-Goose Bay)

Drive health education and services as a Community Health Worker in Hopedale, NL. Engage various age groups through innovative programming, outreach, and support initiatives.

This permanent full-time role focuses on informing Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries about available services while conducting group sessions on health promotion and prevention. You will coordinate special events, conduct home visits, and compile program reports for the Team Leader. Flexibility is key, with possible evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inform community members of programs and benefits

• Deliver group sessions on health promotion

• Coordinate special events and celebrations

• Conduct home visits for outreach

• Submit monthly statistics and program activity reports

Requirements:

• Minimum Community Studies education or equivalent experience

• Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills

• Self-directed with excellent organizational abilities

• Bilingual in Inuktitut and English is an asset

• Valid Driver’s License preferred
