Temporary Physiotherapy Assistant Position

Become a vital part of our Long-Term Care Home as a temporary Physiotherapy Assistant, supporting Residents through rehabilitation. Work closely with the supervising Physiotherapist to enhance functional outcomes.

This part-time position, covering from October 1 to December 29, offers 30 hours per week dedicated to implementing treatment plans and facilitating Residents’ progress. You will participate in both individual and group activities, ensuring a compassionate approach in all interactions while maintaining equipment and supporting quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute assigned tasks from the Physiotherapist for optimal care

• Adhere to personalized Care Plans for each Resident

• Lead group exercise classes promoting health and mobility

• Clean and document usage of rehabilitation equipment

• Take part in quality improvement procedures and feedback collection

Requirements:

• Accredited OTA/PTA Program diploma required

• Current vaccinations and safety checks needed

• Strong clinical and communication skills essential

• Experience with geriatric rehabilitation is advantageous

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
