Extendicare Viking Home is seeking a compassionate Health Care Aide for part-time evening and day shifts in Viking, Alberta. Join a team dedicated to enhancing seniors' quality of life through personalized care.

As a Health Care Aide, you will support residents with personal care, activities of daily living, and meal preparation while observing and reporting on their well-being.

Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe and clean environment for seniors, emphasizing collaboration and empathy. You will uphold Extendicare’s values and contribute positively to the lives of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities

• Observe and report on residents' conditions to supervisors

• Facilitate residents' moves and transfers when needed

• Prepare nutritious meals and support ambulation

• Maintain confidentiality and address family concerns

Requirements:

• Must be registered with CLHA

• Graduate of a Health Care Aide program

• Experience with seniors in community health services

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required
