Location: Sandy Bay

Take part in mental health advocacy as a Wellness Promoter at Hectot Thiboutot Community School in Sandy Bay. Engage students and the community to enhance mental wellness resources.

In this full-time position, you'll work closely with students, families, and educators, empowering them with knowledge about mental health issues.

Your role will adapt based on community needs, ensuring effective programming is delivered. Building strong connections with young individuals and families is essential in identifying those who require referral services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver mental health programming in various settings

• Work collaboratively with students, guardians, and staff

• Customize outreach to meet community mental health needs

• Establish strong relationships with children and families

• Help individuals access mental health and addiction services

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in health or related field

• Experience in support and advocacy roles

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of mental health issues

• Ability to work with diverse communities
