Job description:

As a member of the interdisciplinary team and under the general direction of the Manager or Addiction Counsellor Degree Senior, is responsible for the day-to-day client services delivery (development, implementation, deliver and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical management, community education, and community development.

  • - Bachelor Degree in Chemical Dependency or another Degree accepted by employer

Knowledge and Abilities
  • - Knowledge in addictions specific twelve core functions
  • - Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize urgent client needs
  • - Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery
  • - Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate referrals
  • - Ability to accurately assess addictions and/or addiction related issues.
  • - Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
  • - Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills
  • - Knowledge of Sask Model of Recovery Services and motivational assessment process
  • - Promote healthy lifestyles in urban & rural settings with diverse populations
  • - Strong knowledge of policies and procedures established by Addiction Services
