Tulita Community Wellness Specialist

As a member of the Primary Community Care Team, you will play a crucial role in addressing mental health and wellness needs. This position involves working directly with clients of all ages to provide education and support, with a strong emphasis on cultural identity and healing. Engaging with community leaders and social health professionals, you’ll help build a network for promoting wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide culturally appropriate counseling and assessments

• Collaborate and partner with community health organizations

• Facilitate educational presentations in various settings

• Perform home visits to ensure client support

• Guide clients to cultural resources and community programs

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Sciences or extensive lived experience

• Experience in mental health or community health settings

• Understanding of Northern Indigenous values and practices

• Strong ability to work collaboratively across cultures

• Willingness to engage in outdoor community activities
