About the Opportunity   Reporting to the Manager and working under the direction of the Recreation Therapist, the Activities Aide is a member of the healthcare team, who works cooperatively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance the quality of everyday lives of the residents of Bayview Memorial Health Centre.
Responsibilities include daily collaboration with the Charge Nurse in the delivery of patient activity plans as written by the Recreational Therapist and other programs/activities.
The Activities Aide contributes to the care plan by communicating with the interdisciplinary team any feedback or observations discovered while carrying out these activities.
About You   We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Grade 12 education required
Previous Recreation Therapy experience preferred
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Passion for event planning
Previous experience working with seniors
Dementia education is an asset
Must be able to take direction and work as part of a team
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours    Permanent part-time position; 52.5 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits   $21.61 - $24.55 Hourly
