Position: Clinical Therapist for Youth Services
Location: Southern Northumberland Strait (Pictou)

Join Nova Scotia Health as a Clinical Therapist focusing on Child and Adolescent Services. This full-time role involves delivering best practice assessments and treatments for young clients dealing with mental health and addiction issues.

This position is based at Aberdeen Hospital in the Northern Zone, where you'll provide critical services to children and adolescents under a Stepped Care model. Collaborating with a diverse team ensures that you will receive support while enhancing your clinical skills in a professional environment that values ethical practice and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based psycho-social treatments to clients

• Assess and plan interventions for young individuals

• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to optimize care

• Maintain simplicity and effectiveness in treatment planning

• Address ethical and diversity considerations in patient interactions

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline

• Minimum of two years of related clinical experience

• Registration or eligibility for provincial regulatory body

• Excellent knowledge of addiction treatment dynamics

• Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and assessment
