Recovery Centre Support Worker

Location: Timiskaming North (Iroquois Falls A)

The Canadian Mental Health Association - Cochrane Timiskaming Branch seeks a Recovery Centre Support Worker in Kirkland Lake. This part-time position focuses on supporting clients with addictions and mental health issues.

As an Addictions Support Worker, you'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to clients facing various challenges. Understanding their unique circumstances allows you to provide personalized support while emphasizing their rights and choices. Your experience in mental health and addictions will play a critical role in this valuable team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate comprehensive support plans for clients

• Engage effectively with a diverse client base

• Utilize crisis intervention skills when necessary

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards

• Facilitate communication with other professionals involved

Requirements:

• Diploma in a core mental health discipline preferred

• Understanding of the Addiction and Mental Health sectors required

• Familiarity with Mental Health legislation an asset

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressures

• Valid Ontario driver's license and a personal vehicle
