Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medial Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations;
Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice protocols;
The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards.

Education
  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
Licenses
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
Other Education and Training
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Current CPR certification

Knowledge and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)

  • Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care

  • Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.

  • Knowledge of EMS Practitioners legislation/protocols/scope of practice

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
