MDRD REPROCESSING TECHNICIAN
(CASUAL)
A casual cross-site MDRD Reprocessing Technician position is available within our Nursing Department at the Palmerston & District Hospital and Louise Marshall Hospital, sites of North Wellington Health Care. The homesite for this position is Louise Marshall Hospital.
This position is unionized with OPSEU, Local 226.
REQUIREMENTS:- Knowledge of sterile department, re cross infection and decontamination
- Successful completion of the Central Service Techniques Course
- CSA Certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in all areas of MDRD, including decontamination area, sterile area, portering and dispatch, and record maintenance
- Detail orientated with demonstrated aptitude for utmost accuracy; ability to adhere to strict procedures & protocols
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast, often time pressured and constantly changing environment
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
- Standing for long periods of time

- Walking
- On an as needed basis
- As per the Collective Agreement
$28.98 – $30.96 per hour
