Engage in hands-on patient care as a Care Team Assistant at Nova Scotia Health. Support daily living activities in a collaborative environment while fostering patient education.
Join a dedicated team at Northern Zone, Aberdeen Hospital. As a Care Team Assistant, you will work under the supervision of health professionals, ensuring patients receive the support they need.
Your role includes assisting with daily living activities and reinforcing care plans tailored to individual patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct, hands-on patient care in a team setting
• Support activities of daily living and personal care
• Reinforce patient and family education following care guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff
• Adapt to flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
Requirements:
• Completion of the Continuing Care Assistant Program
• Provincial Certification with active CCA Registry registration
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of French is an asset
